Karawang–Jabar – (SIN) – Wakil Menteri Dalam Negeri (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto melakukan kunjungan kerja terkait dukungan program swasembada pangan. Dalam kunjungannya itu, Bima berdialog langsung dengan Kelompok Tani Desa Bolang, Kecamatan Tirtajaya, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawabarat, di Kantor Kepala Desa Bolang, Kamis (9/1–2025).
Dialog ini bertujuan mendengar langsung aspirasi dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para petani di daerah tersebut dalam mengelola lahan. Salah satu persoalan yang dibahas yaitu terkait dengan kesejahteraan ulu–ulu atau petugas pengairan irigasi. Ini mengingat mereka berperan penting dalam mengawasi dan mengoptimalkan fungsi irigasi.
Mendengar aspirasi tersebut, Bima langsung bertindak cepat dengan menghubungi Menteri Desa dan Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto lewat sambungan telepon. Dalam percakapan tersebut, Bima menanyakan kebijakan Mendes PDT terkait dengan kesejahteraan ulu–ulu. “Jadi, ini [irigasi] perlu diurus oleh ulu–ulu, tapi ulu–ulu ini sudah lama tidak diberikan atensi. Kalau dari Kementerian Desa bagaimana ini kebijakannya Pak Mendes?” tanya Bima.
Menanggapi itu, Mendes PDT Yandri Susanto menegaskan bahwa selama mendukung program swasembada pangan, dirinya menyambut baik aspirasi tersebut. Jawaban Yandri tersebut kemudian diikuti dengan tepuk tangan dari para petani yang hadir.
Lebih lanjut, Wamendagri Bima mengatakan, meningkatkan fungsi irigasi merupakan salah satu strategi Presiden Prabowo Subianto dalam mewujudkan program swasembada pangan.
Jadi seluruh Indonesia, kira–kira dua juta hektare lahan irigasi yang kalau itu dibangun, airnya lancar, salurannya clear, maka swasembada pangan akan tercapai dalam waktu dua tahun, ujar Bima di hadapan para petani.
Sebagai informasi, kehadiran Bima di wilayah tersebut disambut antusiasme dari warga, khususnya kaum ibu–ibu. Bahkan beberapa di antaranya berusaha mencubit Bima sebagai bentuk ekspresi kegembiraan dan kedekatan. Momen ini tidak hanya memecah suasana menjadi penuh canda tawa, tetapi juga menciptakan hubungan yang lebih akrab sekaligus hangat antara Bima dengan masyarakat setempat.
