BANDA ACEH – (SIN) – Gempa tektonik berkekuatan Magnitude (M) 6,2 mengguncang Banda Aceh dan sekitarnya, pada Jumat, 31 Januari 2025, pukul 18.03 WIB. Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Stasiun Geofisika Aceh Besar mendeteksi gempa tersebut berpusat di Aceh Selatan.
“Info sementara gempa Magnitude 6,2 terletak di 36 kilometer arah barat daya Aceh Selatan,” kata Kepala BMKG Stasiun Geofisika Aceh Besar, Andi Azhar Rusdin, kepada Media SIN
Secara spesifik, lokasi gempa berpusat di koordinat 3,15 derajat Lintang Utara (LU) dan 96,95 derajat Bujur Timur (BT) dengan kedalaman 29 kilometer.
Hingga kini belum diketahui gempa tersebut berpotensi tsunami atau tidak. Selain itu, belum ada kabar terkait dampak kerusakan akibat gempa. ( M ).
