Kabupaten Cianjur – Jawa Barat – (SIN) – Polres Cianjur menggelar konferensi pers pengungkapan kasus dugaan tindak pidana perjudian online dengan cara menawarkan jasa pembuatan website aplikasi judi online, konferensi pers yang digelar di depan Gedung Sat Reskrim Polres Cianjur tersebut dipimpin oleh Kapolres Cianjur AKBP Aszhari Kurniawan, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., Jumat (26/04/2024).
Kapolres Cianjur mengatakan, pada hari Rabu tanggal 24 April 2024 pada pukul 10.00 WIB, tim dari Patroli Cyber Polres Cianjur melakukan penyelidikan dan berhasil mengungkap dugaan tindak pidana perjudian online tersebut dengan mengamankan 1 orang tersangka yang berinisial AMS (27) yang merupakan warga Kelurahan Pademangan Timur Kec Pademangan Jakarta Utara.
“Adapun modus operandi yang dilakukan oleh pelaku yaitu pelaku menawarkan jasa pembuatan website aplikasi judi online dan juga spammer atau penyebar serta menjual situs web judi online melalui media sosial. Kemudian dari jasa pembuatan tersebut karena yang bersangkutan ini diduga berkelompok, yang bersangkutan menerima upah 10 % dari nilai total pembuatan jasa web aplikasi judi online tersebut.” ucap Kapolres Cianjur.
Kapolres Cianjur menambahkan, kelompok tersebut menjanjikan bahwa situs yang mereka buat ini diperuntukan bagi admin atau calon-calon pemilik website judi online, kelompok tersebut menjamin bahwa situsnya tidak akan terblokir oleh Kominfo serta tidak memerulukan virtual private network (VPN) untuk mengaksesnya baik itu admin maupun user atau pengguna.
Atas perbuatannya, pelaku dikenakan Pasal 45 ayat (2) Jo Pasal 27 ayat (2) UU No. 1 Tahun 2024 tentang perubahan kedua atas UU No. 11 Tahun 2008 tentang informasi dan transaksi elekteonik Jo Pasal 303 ayat (1) Ke-1 KUHP dengan ancaman pidana penjara paling lama 10 tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak 10 miliar.
